Employer of Record basics, finding and screening people, cost, contracts and compliance.
An Employer of Record legally employs people on your behalf. In Egypt, Progwarts signs the employment contract, runs payroll, pays social insurance and tax, and handles leave and offboarding. You choose the person and direct their work. More on our Employer of Record in Egypt page.
We stay involved after the hire. Every month we meet you for feedback on each person's work and ask each person what they need, then we act on both. We also organize team outings and negotiate better benefits for our people. See how we work.
No. Progwarts is the legal employer, so you don't need your own entity in Egypt. Your team works for you day to day, and we take care of the employment side.
Yes. If you've already found someone in Egypt, we can employ them for you. That includes freelancers who work for you today: we can move them onto proper employment. See Employer of Record in Egypt.
Yes. We post the role and search, review every application, and run phone screens, a technical screening and an interview. You only meet the people we recommend, and you decide who joins. See Hire in Egypt.
We review every application. The strongest candidates get a phone screen, a technical screening and an interview with us, and we check English in every interview. Then you interview the people we recommend. Every applicant hears back with feedback.
Frontend and backend developers, QA, designers, DevOps, security and AI engineers, architects and technical leads. Scrum masters, project managers and team leads. IT, HR, finance, business, marketing and operations people, and more. See the roles we hire.
No. Every company needs the roles we hire, so you don't need to be a software company to work with us. We also hire for non-tech roles like HR, finance, marketing and operations.
It depends on the role. We start as soon as we have your brief and send you a shortlist of the people we'd recommend. On our first call, we'll talk through what to expect for your role.
We quote per role after a short call. Your monthly invoice covers the person's salary, employer social insurance, the benefits we agree with you and our fee. Talk to us to get a quote.

We agree them with you: your hours, Egypt's hours, or a mix. Egypt's weekend is Friday and Saturday, so we plan the working week with that in mind.
Yes, if you want it. We provide an office in Egypt with your branding, like your own HQ, so your team gets the same experience as your employees at home. Otherwise they work remotely.
You do. What your team creates for you belongs to you: the employment contract assigns it to you, and it includes confidentiality and non-compete clauses. See Trust and compliance.
Egypt's Labour Law No. 14 of 2025. Our contracts are reviewed by an international lawyer who knows Egyptian and foreign company law, and Progwarts employs people directly, with no middleman. See Trust and compliance.
Yes. We sign a DPA with clients in the EU. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data.
We handle it properly under Law 14/2025. For contracts with no end date, the notice period is three months. We'll walk you through each step before anything happens.
